Terms of use
Plain terms for a small tool. Using Supply Closet means agreeing to these.
Who you are agreeing with
The hosted service at ownerscloset-app.com is provided by Aidan Overpeck, contactable at overpeck.aidan@gmail.com. A self-hosted copy is run by whoever installed it, and these terms do not govern their service.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older. Supply Closet is for a business you run or work for: your own rentals, or a host or management company that has given you a login. It is not offered for personal or household use. If you accept these terms on behalf of a business, you are confirming that you are allowed to bind it.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done through crew links you create and share. Keep your password to yourself, give staff their own logins rather than sharing one, and revoke a crew link when the person no longer needs it. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
One person or business per account.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are not switched on yet. Nothing is charged today, no card is collected, and no plan limit is enforced. The pricing page says the same. The rest of this section describes how billing will work once it is turned on; this page will be updated and account holders told by email before that happens.
One property is free for as long as you like, with no card. A paid plan adds room for more properties and more cleaner logins, consumption tracking with measured par levels, and one shopping list across every property you run. How many properties and logins each plan includes is set out on the pricing page.
Paid plans begin with a 14 day trial, and no card is needed to start one. If the trial ends and you have not subscribed, the account drops back to the free limits. Nothing is deleted.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each month until you cancel. The price depends on the plan and the number of properties on it. It is shown on the pricing page and again at checkout before you subscribe, and we will tell you by email before any price change takes effect.
You can cancel at any time from Plan and billing in the app. Access to the paid features continues to the end of the period already paid for, and the account then drops to the free limits. Everything you entered stays readable and exportable; you just cannot add past one property until you are on a plan again.
Refunds
If you are not happy after your first payment, write to overpeck.aidan@gmail.com within 14 days of that payment and you will get a full refund. After those 14 days, cancelling stops the next charge, but we do not refund part of a period already paid for.
Refund requests are answered within two business days, and a refund goes back to the card that paid, through Stripe. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead, that chargeback is handled through Stripe, and we will give Stripe the account's billing records as part of it. Writing to us first is almost always quicker.
Customer support
Support is by email at overpeck.aidan@gmail.com, and you can expect a reply within two business days. The support page covers the common questions and how to get help with a particular property, scan or login.
Your content
Everything you enter is yours: properties, items, counts, par levels, messages and the history behind them. We claim no ownership of it and do not sell or share it. We use it only to run the service for you: to store it, show it back to you and the people you have given access to, and work out the par levels and shopping lists you asked for. We open it ourselves only when you ask for support, or where we must to keep the service running or to comply with the law.
Cleaners you add can see the properties you assign them, and nothing else. You can export all of your data as CSV at any time without asking.
What we ask of you
Do not use the service to:
- break the law, or store anything you have no right to store
- attack the service or attempt to reach another account's data
- resell access, or run it as a service for others, without agreement in writing
- place load that degrades it for everyone else
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app (Delete account, at the bottom), or by following the steps on the account deletion page. It goes along with its properties, items, ledger and cleaner logins, immediately and permanently. Export a copy first if you want to keep one.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or goes unused for a long period. Except where something serious or unlawful is involved, we will give notice and a chance to export before we do.
What this is not
Supply Closet records what you tell it. It is not an accounting system, not a system of record for tax or audit, and not a safety or compliance tool. Par levels and consumption figures are estimates from your own history and are there to inform a decision, not to make it. Check anything that matters.
No guarantee of availability
The service is provided as it is, without warranty. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of faults, and we do not promise the product database will recognise any particular barcode. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; the export exists for exactly that.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost stock, or the cost of a wasted trip. Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these change materially, the date above changes and account holders are told by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
