How to reach us
Supply Closet is operated by Aidan Overpeck. Email overpeck.aidan@gmail.com and you will hear back within two business days. There is no login required to use this page or to write in.
What to include
- The email address on your account, so the right workspace can be found.
- The property name the problem happened in, if it is about one property.
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead. A screenshot helps if there is one.
Common questions
The scanner will not start
The live camera needs two things: an https:// address and camera permission. Browsers refuse camera access over plain http, so check the address bar first. If the page asked for the camera and you declined, allow it again in the browser’s site settings. Either way the Photo button still works, so you can take a still of the barcode or the label instead.
A barcode came back with no match
The product databases are community-maintained and lean grocery, so some household goods are missing. When a scan finds nothing, name the item once. The name is stored against that barcode, and every future scan of it is instant.
Where do cleaners sign in?
At the same address as you. A cleaner or maintenance login lands on its own screen built around what was taken out of the closet, not the full owner app. You add them under Settings and choose which properties they can see.
How do I get my data out?
Open the Activity tab. At the bottom are two downloads: the current stock as CSV and the full change history as CSV, for the property and time range you have selected. There is no request to make.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account, or go to /delete-account.html. Deletion removes the account with its properties, items and history. If you would rather not do it yourself, email the address above from the account’s email and it will be done for you.
Am I being charged?
No. Billing is not switched on yet, so nothing is charged and no card is collected. The pricing page shows what the plans will cost when it is.
Policies
The privacy policy describes what is stored and what leaves the server. The terms cover the agreement between you and the operator.
Self-hosted copies
If you run Supply Closet on your own server, support for that install is through the README in the GitHub repository only. This inbox covers the hosted service.
